My approach integrates different models and schools of therapy because I strive to understand and work with how problems manifest in a specific context and with specific people
I believe that each person and family is unique and therefore I use a range of methods and techniques to fit the world-view of my clients and build with them a non- judgmental, collaborative, and compassionate relationship. Common problems I help with are the following:
Adult children - parents relationships
Individual development and the family life cycle
Life transitions
Depression and anxiety
Self esteem
Attachment/ relationship issues
Couple intimacy and satisfaction
Family Systems
Parenting
Loss and grief
Trauma
I have a special interest in how society and culture impact and influence our lives. I am passionate about my work with international and migrant individuals and with cross-national and multicultural couples and families. I integrate a multicultural perspective and awareness from the earliest assessment phase to the problem-solving and intervention phases.
In addition to Western psychology, I have studied and actively practice alternative and complementary healing tools and techniques such as yoga, Buddhist philosophy, and other mindfulness practices.
